CAPE POND ICE COMPANY ANNOUNCES OUR 2010 FATHER'S DAY "Coolest Dad" CONTEST WINNERS!
Cape Pond Ice would like to thank all the proud children who submitted essays and photos for the "2010 Coolest Dad Contest."
All of the nominated "Dads" clearly qualified for the award in the eyes of their proud child. All essays and photographs uniquely presented just how "Cool" their Dads are!
CAPE POND ICE HAS CHOSEN 3 WINNERS FOR 2010 "COOLEST DAD"
- Ty Callahan, age 2 and Matthew Callahan, age 1 nominated their Dad, Mike Callahan, for "Letting his little boys be boys. Dad lets us play in the dirt and makes puddles of water for us to stomp in. When Dad gets home from work he is never too tired to lay on the floor and lets us jump on him. He teaches us all about the bugs and animals we see. We wait in the yard for him to come home from work and when we see his car the entire neighborhood knows just how "Cool" our Dad is by how loud and excited we are to see him!"
- Grace Giambanco-Numerosi of Gloucester nominated her brother-in-law Harry Floyd. Grace states that Harry has been in her life for 34 years and is more than her brother-in-law. "Harry took me for my first McDonald's happy meal, (over the bridge in Beverly.) He stressed the importance of being informed and had me watch the news. Harry instilled in me a love for reading. He came to every football game when I was a cheerleader and drove me to all of my college interviews. Harry has always been there for me in more ways that I can express in words. My Dad died when I was six years old and Harry has taught me by example that we are to deal with whatever challenges we face with vigor and to never give up!"
- Talia DeWolfe of Gloucester, age 10, nominate her Dad Chris stating "he's not like other Dads, he's unique! My Dad took me to my first Red Sox's and Celtic's game. I really don't watch sports that much, but if it's with my Dad it's worth it. At home he is always cooking yummy, mouthwatering food for us. He's the reason I do well in school, and play sports as well as I do. He always makes me smile!"
