The Discovery Channel filmed for a week in Gloucester, with Sig Hanson, Captain of the F/V Northwestern from the Deadliest Catch, Capts. Jonathan and Andy Hillstrand from the F/V Time Bandit and Mike Rowe, narrator of "The Dirtiest Jobs". Five episodes of "After the Catch" will be shown with Gloucester footage, airing at 10 pm, after the "Deadliest Catch" at 9 pm, on June 17 and 24, and July 2, 8, and 15 on the Discovery Channel.

Gloucester fishermen featured on the Discovery Channel show include Capt. Clark Sandler of the F/V Seafarmer II, Capt. Russell Sherman of the Lady Jane, Capt. Tom Turner of the F/V Captain Jake, and deckhand Jim Gallagher of the Endeavour.

Cape Pond Ice Ice donated t-shirts and caps to Mike Rowe, Sig and Edgar Hansen, Capt, Phil Harris and the hosts and crew, as part of a fundraiser held at the Gloucester House Restaurant, organized by Gloucester's Jamie Marshall, to benefit the Plum Cove Elementary School
